Inquisitor Amberley Vail of the Ordo Xenos.

She has a somewhat 'discreet' love affair with Ciaphas Cain, Hero of the Imperium. She appears in all five current Ciaphas Cain novels, she's the author who published Cain's memoirs. She leaves foot notes and such, but other then that, it's his story. So far, she's only been in the actual story twice. They meet in the first Ciaphas Cain novel, 'For the Emperor'. Then again she's in 'Duty Calls', the most recent novel. She does however appear in 'Death or Glory' briefly.
