The Angels Vermillion are a Blood Angels successor Chapter. Their history since the Second Founding has been largely a mystery except for their proven loyalty to the Imperium.

The Angels Vermillion were originally^1,2 depicted as wearing carmine coloured armour with a yellow chest eagle. In How to Paint Space Marines however the chapter is depicted in the scheme previously used by the Angels Encarmine: vermillion coloured armour with a yellow chest eagle, black shoulder pad trims and backpack.

When depicted in carmine coloured armour the chapter badge was a skull within a red blood drop with wings the same as the Blood Angels chapter badge, in the vermillion coloured armour the chapters emblem is a red blood drop with black bat wings.

Sometime prior to the 3rd Armageddon War (in which the chapter did not participate) the chapter was subjected to attacks by the Order of the Argent Shroud under the leadership of Canoness Dissenta³
