Arkos

Arkos, also known as Arkos the Faithless is a Chaos Lord of the Alpha Legion. He became a powerful ally of renegade cardinal Xaphan during the Siege of Vraks.

History
Originally a first captain in the Alpha Legion, Arkos turned traitor along with the rest of the legion during the Horus Heresy and fought alongside his primarch Alpharius against the Emperor's loyalist forces. After the defeat of Horus, Arkos and his warband fled into the Eye of Terror, thirsting for vengeance. From his personal Battle Barge; Anarchy's Heart, they began a campaign of raiding Imperial shipping lanes and striving to instigate cultist activity throughout the sector.
His veteran warband specialize in infiltration techniques and often masquerade as loyalist space marines, these units are able to act very effectively as saboteurs and commandos behind enemy lines while Arkos masterfully orchestrates their missions.2
The Siege of Vraks
Disguised as loyalist space marines, Arkos and his legion were able to land at the Imperial Starport, infiltrate the Krieg battle lines and cross no-mans land to reach the enemy side. Under the guise of launching an attack they made for the Citadel and presented themselves to Cardinal Xaphan pledging the aid and support of the Chaos Gods.
Arkos went on to provide valuable tactical experience to the Vraksian renegade command while his veteran Alpha legion troops were able to both raid and disrupt behind the Imperial front lines along with providing expert training for the ill equipped militia.1
Weapons and Abilities
As well as being an inspiring commander, he is a master tactician, able to orchestrate his devious schemes and covert operations to perfection. He has been gifted with daemonic aura which grants him unnatural resilience, and he is armed with a Combi-Melta and the Dark Blade Daemon weapon which increases his already formidable strength.2
