Aurora Chapter

The Aurora Chapter is a chapter of Space Marine created during the Second Founding, formed from the Ultramarines Legion. They are strict followers of the Codex Astartes.1 The Aurora Chapter is known for their armored assaults, and possesses a number of Land Raiders and Predators three times that of an average Chapter.2

Battles and Campaigns
The First Company was deployed against Chaos cultists for the Goru Heresy.3
The chapter is mentioned in the tales of the Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn as having been responsible for saving an Inquisitor from a Daemonhost that had slain his entire retinue.4
The Chapter was involved in a conflict with the Knights of the Raven, a fellow Space Marine Chapter. The conflict was ended by the intervention of Marneus Calgar.2
Sent a Predator spearhead to aid Captain Cato Sicarius of the Ultramarines in the Zeist Campaign, reclaiming several worlds previous annexed by the expanding Tau Empire.2
Elements of the Chapter were sent to battle the Necron World Engine. Like all Chapters involved in the campaign, the Aurora Chapter sends troops to garrison Safehold - the final target of the World Engine - in honour of the fallen Astral Knights Chapter.2
The Zeist Campaign.2a (M41) The Aurora Chapter heeded the call of Lord Macragge, and provided a Predator spearhead to fight for the liberation of Augura (a staging point for the Tau forces).
The armoury of the Aurora Chapter boasts more Predators and Land Raiders than three other Space Marine Chapters combined. Their name has become a byword for armoured assault across the entire Ultima Segmentum.2
