The Blood Storms were a series of massive Daemon invasions that suddenly struck the Systems adjacent to the Realm of Ultramar without warning. In order to protect their home, the Ultramarines Chapter attack the infested Systems, in a campaign that lasts for decades and costs the lives of three of its Chapter Masters. Despite the cost though, when the campaign ends the Ultramarines had succeeded in preventing the Daemons and their corruption from reaching Ultramar.[1]
