Boarding Torpedoes are a type of Torpedo used by the Imperial Navy for boarding operations against enemy starships. More of a manned spacecraft then a weapon, they are similar to Shark Assault Boats in role. Filled with specifically trained Imperial Navy boarding troops, a Boarding Torpedo slams into an enemy starship then unleashes its deadly cargo within to incapacitate and capture the vessel.[1]
Boarding Torpedoes are less maneuverable and armoured then assault boats, but are also a smaller target and thus more difficult to intercept.[1]
