Carthae is an Imperial world, whose tribes are notable for their height and martial prowess.[1a]
History
It was brought into Compliance in the Great Crusade, by Imperial forces led by the Emperor and the Primarch Horus. Despite the efforts of Carthae's Ewl Wyra Fesh Paladins, they were undone in battle by the Emperor's ploys.[2] Afterwards, their culture continued as it was and besides their martial styles,[1a] like the Ewl Wyra Scryri,[1c] the people of Carthae are also known for the Carthaen Swords they create.[1b]
It is the Homeworld of the swordswomen Angharad Esw Sweydyr and Arianhrod Esw Sweydyr as well.[1a]
