The Cerberax Wars, is a conflict between the Daemons of Khorne and the Necron Sautekh Dynasty, that began after the Great Rift's creation during the Thirteenth Black Crusade.[1]

Overview

The seeds for the conflict began, when the energy unleashed by the Great Rift caused the Cerberax Warpstorm to be formed in the Ultima Segmentum. The large Warpstorm immediately enveloped three Systems and continued to grow, until it neared the Ymga Monolith, which suddenly began to glow and created a perfect sphere of order untouched by Cerberax's progress across the stars. As Imperial agents observed this phenomenon, Daemons of Khorne emerged from the Cerberax Warpstorm and soon clashed with the thousands of Sautekh Dynasty ships, that appeared near the Monolith and began to form a defensive shield around the ancient structure. Now, months after it began, the Cerberax Wars have spread into Imperial space and every world within fourteen hundred standard Terra-Sols of the Ymga Monolith, has become a battlefield between the two foes. Though strike forces from the Ultramarines and Mortifactors Chapters have been dispatched to save the embattled Imperium worlds, the sheer number of Daemons taking part in the conflict may now force the Space Marines to enact a series of Exterminatus instead.[1]
