Chaos Shrines are dedicated to the worship of Khorne and have statues of Bloodthirsters atop them. When they are built they project a red mist that coats the ground near their location, which kills anything that tries to pass through it; save the worshipers of Khorne. The Shrines can be used to protect Chaos bases, making a direct assault for an attacking force impossible. The Shrines would need to be located and destroyed, in order to dispel the mist; though doing so, summons forces from the base to deal with the transgressors.[1]
