Revision as of 01:51, 16 July 2007
Unfortunately Games Workshop finally banned the release of the movie DAMNATUS because they cannot secure complete copyright control due to the German copyright law.
After months of efforts by the legal department to solve the problem with an agreement this has been decided at the upper levels of the company. At the moment we try to make contact with these upper levels to request a change of this decision (see open letter to CEO Tom Kirby). If this attempt for a solution fails as well, we count on your voice! Simultaneously we have been informed that because of this case the guidelines on the protection of GW's Intellectual Property will be changed. We are still in contact with the legal department and try to find out if the DAMNATUS-Decision has consequences for all other German fans and the release of their artistic works (which due to law are also their inalienable personal property) as well.
