A standard bolter round, with a diamantine tip.

Diamantine is a metallic material used by the Imperium of Man to fabricate weapons, ammunition and armour. "Diamantine" means consisting of diamonds, or resembling diamonds.

Known Uses

  • Diamantine is used in bolter ammunition. The standard bolt, rounds for assault cannons and other projectiles1 have diamantine tips. This material replaces the lead used in today's bullets.
  • Armour is sometimes constructed of diamantine, or walls and doors are sometimes lined or made with it, notably in the walls of a Fortress-Monastery2.
