Exterminatus

Exterminatus is the most dire order that can be brought to bear by the Inquisition on any one planet. When heresy or Chaos have taken root in a population and are deemed too deep to burn out, that population will be slain to the last man, woman, and child to prevent it from contaminating the rest of the Imperium. The Exterminatus order can be given by any Inquisitor. Upon receiving the order, members of a Space Marines Chapter will be dispatched with the desired methods of annihilation. These include;

• Virus bombs
• Cyclonic Torpedo
• Atmospheric Incinerator Torpedo

Orders for Exterminatus are often preceded or followed with deep zeal, resulting in drastic measures such as massive, orbital bombardment.
