History

One of the earliest Martian Titan Legions known as the Triad Ferrum Morgulus, the Legion became known as hardened religious traditionalists. After the Mechanicum union with the Imperium they left Mars as part of the Great Crusade, fighting alongside the 1st Expeditionary Fleet led by the Emperor himself. They became known as the Masters of Fire during this time for their scorched earth tactics and tendency to reduce cities to rubble in their fervor. When Fabricator-General Kelbor-Hal joined the forces of Horus, the Legion enthusiastically joined their master due to their fervent belief in the Cult Mechanicus.[3]

During the Battle of Calth they were part of the false muster on Calth, when they turned on their former brothers of Legio Praesagius, destroying several loyalist Titans before the Legio regrouped and counterattacked.[2a] The Fire Masters attempted to massacre the civilian population of Ithraca to appease their new Dark Gods.[2b]
