The Flayed Hand was a Chapter of Word Bearers during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1] Known for their zeal and loyalty to their Primarch Lorgar and his cause, they deployed roughly 6,000-8,000 Astartes during the Battle of Calth as one of the largest traitor contingents. Many volunteered to become Gal Vorbak.[1]
During the Battle of Calth, the Chapter is destroyed by an Ultramarines ambush under Ventanus on Calth.[2]
