The Hellfire Land Raider was the first version of the Land Raider in WH40k, available to Space Marine, Imperial Guard and Rogue Trader armies. Its armament of two sponson-mounted lascannons and a pintle-mounted bolter was the standard weapon configuration of the Land Raider at the time. The standard Land Raider was up-gunned in a later issue of White Dwarf to mount a twin-linked lascannon on each sponson and two pintle-mounted heavy bolters².
