The Ironblood Campaign took place in 822.M41 and began when Warpsmith Grathax descended upon the world of Ironblood with an army of Daemon Engines. Laying waste to everything in his path, Grathax's army was eventually met by several Imperial Guard tank Regiments and a hundred Ultramarine tanks under the command of Brother-Sergeant Chronus. The ensuing battle lasted for three days before the last Daemon engine was destroyed. The wreckage across the battlefield was so great that it could be seen from orbit.[1]
