Jenit Sulla was a General in the Imperial Guard sometime in M41 to M42. However, the bulk of her military career was spent as a Lieutenant in the 597th Valhallen Regiment under Commissar Ciaphas Cain. She served the rigiment faithfully and went on the write Like a Phoenix From the Flames: The Founding of the 597th.

In Commissar Cain's memoirs, Ordos Xenos Inquisitor Amberly Vail uses Sulla's text, (while reluctantly), to fill the gaps in Cain's typically self centered narrative. She was a rough and tumble officer who had a distaste for Junior officers. She worked closely with the Regiment's female Colonel Kasteen, and detested the regiment's male Major Brockalw.
