The Rock of Judgement, also called Justice Rock,[2] was a hollowed moon that served as the base of the Black Judges. During the Great Crusade, its shipyards were captured by the Iron Warriors after the Fall of the Black Judges and moved into orbit above Olympia to serve as the orbital shipyard known as the Black Citadel.[1a][1b]

History

The Rock of Judgement was a barren, ravine-hollowed moon deep in the Meratara Cluster, fortified by the Black Judges at the heart of their domain. Externally, it was well-defended by defence laser batteries and the formidable fleet of the Black Judges, while within it boasted extensive static defences, many sentry-guns, and a garrison of tens of thousands of Accusators and gene-bred functionaries. At the centre of the moon were the Night Courts - vast, lightless citadels of obsidian defended by batteries of neutron rays.[1b]

After the Fall of the Black Judges, the orbital docks above the Rock of Judgement - themselves valuable relics - were moved into orbit above Olympia to begin production of warships for the Iron Warriors.[1b] They would go on to form the heavily fortified Black Citadel, Olympia's principal shipyard and base of operations of the Kheledakos ('Brethren of Cold').[1a]
