Orlando Furioso Howling Griffons Former Chapter Master of the Howling Griffons Chapter. Late in the year 220.M38, the Howling Griffons Chapter were preparing to celebrate the 5,000th anniversary of their Founding. As Chapter Master Orlando Furioso and the First Company made their way to the Chapter's home world, the Daemon Prince Lord Periclitor The Foresworn of the Word Bearers, a substantial force of his Chosen and his Night Lords allies fell upon the Howling Griffons' ship as it traversed the Arios beacon. The battle was a furious one, culminating with Periclitor and his elite boarding Furioso's battle barge aboard their Dreadclaws. The attack crippled the ship, and the defenders were forced to evacuate aboard their Thunderhawks and escape pods. The battle was continued upon the surface of Arios Quintus, where the survivors were surrounded and eventually cut down. The body of Orlando Furioso was mounted upon the fore of his Thunderhawk and left to drift in orbit above the plant for a month before it could be recovered, this permitted that the body and gene-seed to be successfully recovered. Lorgath Maclir Storm Wardens Lorgath Maclir is the current Chapter Master of the Storm Wardens. He is known for being a superfluous studier of the Tactica Imperialis, which some claim he's entirely memorized. If this is true, it would indeed be an impressive accomplishment, even among the Adeptus Astartes. Calan Storm Warriors Wearied by a recent prolonged campaign and the losses incurred (two ships and around 300 Battle-Brothers), the Storm Warriors are diverted at the last moment by an order to snuff out a nascent rebellion on the world of Tesra IV. Calan is reluctant to have his Chapter get involved for fear of taking needless casualties. Jubal Khan White Scars Jubal Khan has fought countless aliens and battles. One of his greatest achievements was during the Jopal Uprising. He led the First Brotherhood in several raids and strikes against the enemy supply and communication lines. Such was the devastation that the enemy were forced to divert large numbers of troops to deal with the White Scars, allowing the Imperial Guard to batter through the weakened front lines and end the insurrection. Jubal Khan also led his Chapter in the Third War for Armageddon, where the White Scars operated both on Armageddon and on the surrounding Ork held worlds.
