A Marshal leads a Black Templars Crusade and is second only to the High Marshal. A marshal can be compared to a company commander although the number of Space Marines under his command can vary.[Needs Citation]
Marshals are chosen from the Sword Brethren, the Black Templars elite troops.[Needs Citation]

- Actoan - In 996.M41, led a Crusade against Golgotha to eradicate the Ork presence there [3]
- Amalrich - Commander of the Tiberior Crusade[1]
- Armante - Led the Chapter's Lastrati Crusade
- Austein - Instigator and commander of the Donian Crusade in the Segmentum Pacificus. Killed by Orks in 988 M.39 on Nickel V[2]
- Bohemond - led a Black Templars Crusade to the relief of Eidolica during the War of the Beast[4a][4b]
- Brant - Leader of the Black Templars sent to Armageddon.[Needs Citation]
- Daidin - Commander of the crusade in which Helbrecht served. Succeeded by Helbrecht upon his death.

- Marius Amalrich - Commander of the Cruxis Crusade, fought in the 13th Black Crusade

- Ricard - Commander of the Dimaris Crusade[1]
- Werhner - Austein's heir apparent, victor of the Donian Crusade after 17 years fighting. Became Marshal of the Thangdron Crusade[2]
