Mormaer Cawdor is the current Lord of Necromunda's House Cawdor, who bears the ceremonial rank of thane. He regards himself not so much as the high noble of a Clan House, but the Emperor's foremost servant on Necromunda. This has caused no small degree of tension with the ruling House Helmawr, and in private Lord Cawdor refuses to acknowledge the Planetary Governor Gerontius Helmawr, as anything other than a peer.[1]
