Newfound is the homeworld of the Genesis Chapter of the Space Marines. It is located a short distance to the the galactic northwest of the Realm of Ultramar.[2]
History
The Genesis Chapter captured the planet from Word Bearers sometime after the Horus Heresy.[3]
Culture
Once per year on Newfound, the citizens throw a feast in honour of the Imperial Redeemer. As part of the ceremonies, a candle is lit for each person who died in the past year. These are then placed into paper lanterns which are released to drift through the air, in the hopes that the souls of the departed will make their way into the Emperor's arms.[4]
