Late M41 - Freshly raised, the regiment was thrown into the Medusa V campaign under the command of Colonel Hagen von Frohlof. Apart from the Colonel and a second Lieutenant Hennessen, a veteran of the defence of the Cadian Gate, no one else in the regiment had any combat experience. Soon after arriving the regiment was placed under the orders of Grand Inquisitor Belerophus Hothas to aid him in his examination of an as yet uncatalogued Hive Fleet. In pursuit of this goal the regiment suffered heavy casualties in three months of continuous fighting. Resupply and reinforcement became increasingly infrequent. Colonel Frohlof mentioned his suspicions in his personal log, that the Supreme command under Count Graf Harazahn seemed to supply them only when the situation became strategically critical, and even then only at the last minute as was necessary. The last orders to the regiment were directed from Inquisitor Hoth as to the regiments position in the Combat Zone Hydra, deep in the ash wastes. The regiment was lost and considered destroyed to the last man on Medusa V. [10][Needs Citation][11][Needs Citation][12][Needs Citation]

Regiment | Notes |
88th | The 88th is a Cadian Mechanised infantry regiment that saw action against plague zombies and Death Guard Chaos Space Marines on Kathur, a shrine world under the protection of the Cadian Shock Troopers.[20] |
99th | None are entirely certain how many different incarnations of the Cadian 99th Shock Troops have existed across the millennia. The most recent incarnation was raised only recently, and were initially intended to join the Margin Crusade, but received orders to reinforce the Spinward Front.[26] |
113th | Template:Lex-De
The 113th Cadian Mechanised Infantry Regiment is a regiment of the Imperial Guard raised on Cadia. It contains Gryphonne IV pattern Chimeras with heavy bolters and is stationed at the Cadian Gate.[6b] |
114th | Template:Lex-De
The 114th Cadian Mechanised Infantry Regiment was granted the title Blood and Thunder while commanded by Colonel Stranski. The name reflected the character of the commander who was renowned for particularly aggressive attacks and counter attack tactics. 998.M41 - The regiment, commanded by Colonel Stranski, was assigned to the 4621st Imperial Army, XI Corps during the Taros Campaign. The campaign ended in failure. The 114th was assigned the roll of breaking through to the embattled 23rd Elysian Drop Troops Regiment during the ill-fated Operation Comet. The breakthrough was a failure. By the time the 114th made it to the 23rd's positions there were not even survivors to rescue. During the rout the 114th withdrew in good order but were forced to abandon most of their Chimeras and march the remaining distance to the evacuation point.[3][Needs Citation] |
