An Ork World is a planet overrun by, and the population consisting primarily of, Orks. It is nearly impossible to cleanse a world entirely once Orks take hold of it, and unfortunately for the Imperium, hundreds of worlds have been claimed. The number is steadily rising with every Waaagh!.

Due to their nature, Orks use these worlds as staging points for their forays into Imperial or other races' space. A world conquered by Orks has been levelled, each city and settlement having been burned to the ground and thoroughly looted. They can be also used as more stable breeding grounds. On worlds having faced a Waaagh!, several years after the Ork forces have been defeated, Feral Orks emerge from the wilderness to attack the population. See main article: Orkoid physiology

As these worlds are controlled by Orks, however, the feral Orks can breed undisturbed.

Orks reproduce through the release of spores, which grow into a plant-like womb underground that nourishes the bodies of the various Orkoid species. This is the entire basis of the Orkoid ecosystem, producing first Squigs, then Snotlings who cultivate the Squigs and fungus, then Gretchin to build the settlements, and finally the Orks themselves. This means the Orks, where ever they go, will have an abundance of food, slaves and other resources, a moving ecosystem that supports them as they go on their Waaaghs!
