The Retaliator Grand Cruiser is a well-rounded vessel of Imperial origin, able to perform in several roles. Its defenses and Weapons batteries allow it to engage in broadside shootouts, its long-range lances allow it to provide fire support, and its launch bays can support four squadrons of attack craft. Unfortunately, this versatility comes at the cost of not quite being able to match up to specialist ships in a given area.[1]
Retaliator-class Grand Cruisers have been in the service of Chaos since at least M35, when the Foebane and its squadron mutinied against the Galan V garrison fleet during what would become known as the Treachery of Galan.[1]
