The Second Mortis Gate Campaign was a battle fought in 560.M33 by the Dark Angels and Death Guard. During the battle, almost the entire chapter took to the field and it is recorded that all three of the chapter's sacred standards—the Standard of Devastation, Standard of Fortitude and Standard of Retribution—flew over the scene of triumph.[1] The war lasted three months and saw storm-wracked warfare before the traitors were finally driven from their strongholds.[2]
