Segmentum Solar is the Segmentum (a division of galactic space) of the galaxy containing Holy Terra. The Segmentum Imperial Naval Base is Mars, along with the home of the Adeptus Mechanicus and most of the offices that make the Imperium run.

The Segmentum Solar also contains such notable planets as:

• Armageddon
• Necromunda
• Tahnel

Hive Fleet Leviathan came within 15000 light years of Terra, disturbingly close for the Imperium ever to admit.

The Trail of Saint Evisser is on the western edge of the Segmentum Solar.¹
