Shield of Valour
The Shield of Valour was a Strike Cruiser of the Imperial Fists.[1][2]
History
In the later years of M40 it was transporting the Chapter's First Company, led by Captain Darnath Lysander, on a mission to exterminate a Xenos race known as the Vorel, when it disappeared without warning.[1] The ship had been attacked whilst in transit through the Warp by the Carnage, an Iron Warriors vessel, and destroyed with Lysander and his squadron the only survivors.[2]
Lysander alone later escaped from the Iron Warriors' fortress on Malodrax, but the Shield and the remainder of the First Company were never recovered.[1]
It was commanded by Langeloc, a woman valued by the Chapter as a dependable, if unimaginative, captain.[2]
