Talk:Broodlord

Now I don't actually know about this, but is that correct? I remember the old-school Genestealer Patriarch was the first Genestealer to make planetfall, but not deliberatley. He was a normal Genestealer that simply grew large and powerful in response to being the oldest, thus the Alpha male. I thought that the Patriarch has been ret-coned somewhat into the new Broodlord* and that he was a specifically bred leader-beast but I didn't realise he was still first to go planetside.

• I also notice in Codex Tyranids it is mostly spelt Broodlord but the bit I read to write about the Hive Fleet was spelt Brood Lord.

On the GW website it is spelt Broodlord. I'm fairly sure I read it somewhere that it was first to hit the ground. The patriach, well, I don't know really, he is an HQ unit, a super advanced Genestealer rather than just a new unit. --Jonru 10:40, 27 January 2006 (CET)
