Talk:Portal:Necrons

I've copied the template of this for the Space Marine portal, please let me know if that is alright

Swiss Knight

Portal Box

To add the portal box include the following in the article: {{NecronsPortal}}. --Rlyehable 16:50, 1 June 2007 (CEST)

Er... there're no Boxes for requested articles, for sources or portal news - just background stuff normally listed in the articles. It's useless for participating users.--Genestealer 19:08, 28 May 2008 (CEST)

Uh.. add them?--Madness 21:11, 28 May 2008 (CEST)
I'd prefer changing. The upper left may stay unchanged, but the box below could be used for sources and Main articles, the upper right for news and the lower right for a list of requested articles.--Genestealer 21:31, 28 May 2008 (CEST)
I swear to the immortal emperor that I can't get what you want. :P Really, what is the problem? --Madness 21:42, 28 May 2008 (CEST)
1) the headlines are invisible 2) a Wiki-Portal is not the main site of a category but a place where users are able to see where they can participate (through a list of requested or "stubby" articles), how they can participate (link to the help-sites, news - for example the recent interwiki-change or the portal boxes in every article - a link to the specific templates might be useful) and what are proper sources to do this (list of codices, background books etc.). This is the sense of a portal - to help, guide and inform active users, not the run-of-the-mill readers.--Genestealer 22:29, 28 May 2008 (CEST)
1.I didn't change them, and they look visible to me, are you in some form daltonic? Would you mind helping me picking a more suitable color scheme?
2.What are portals? holds the answer to that. Mainly "The idea of a portal is to help readers and/or editors navigate their way through Wikipedia topic areas", so yes, the portals need to be improved, no the portals are not an editor-only tool, if anything they should introduce the users (even users who never played the games or read the books) to their content areas.--Madness 22:35, 28 May 2008 (CEST)
1) Daltonism with black ;)? I (with IE6) can't see the box-headlines - they're black like the background of the box-heads (for example the background in Portal:Space Marines is blue, so the headlines are visible). 2) Navigation is necessary (useful for readers and users), but there should be something like lists (main articles, codices, other stuff), garnished with small text passages. And of course nice coulors :) (recently I'm some kind of pioneer in the conservative german lex, inspired by the portals here :)). As you said - they need to be improved.--Genestealer 23:46, 28 May 2008 (CEST)
1. No, with green, it was worth asking, I checked it with IE6, guess what, it's the browser/main css fault. Not much I can do about it right now, unless someone can tinker with the ftp. Found a description of the bug here, works for IE6 and 7. Both pieces of filthy crap. :D
2. Well, the guidelines are in the linked wikipedia article, we need to start a formatting project. Lexicanum:Portals is waiting to be filled. --Madness 00:31, 29 May 2008 (CEST)
DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY fix provided for the time being. IE is still a piece of junk. --Madness 00:56, 29 May 2008 (CEST)
buzbey as a novice of Lexicanum, I want to start translating Lexicanum to Turkish, I want to start from here (Necron Portal), what should I do to start this project (except from providing samples of my translation which can be provided within this spring)? --Buzbey 13:56, 15 Feb 2018 (TUR)
