A Tau Pathfinder

Pathfinders operate as a Tau army's senses during the course of battle. While not a singularly powerful unit, their true strength is in their Pulse Carbines, which mount an integrated Markerlight. Before a battle starts they range ahead, finding a space where they can see much of the battlefield. From this position, they can direct the strikes of other Tau units and launch Seeker Missiles mounted on Tau vehicles. Recently², Pathfinders have had the option for some members of the squad to carry Rail Rifles.
