I see you also read the Citadel Journal, I am irritated about an outdated vehicle of questionable canoncity made it here. The Pegasus AAV was made during an experimental time and its traits were applied to the Chimera. But keep up the good work.

When uploading publicly available official pictures from sources like the warhammer community website, is it better to select the most representative few, or to upload everything that satisfies the guidelines, including variant pics and minis from different angles? Besides, is it better to crop as much as possible, or to leave the image unedited?

I don't want to do a half-assed job, but I don't want to put an unnecessary burden on the server and the admins checking each upload either. -Orsay (talk) 13:40, 17 March 2019 (MDT)

:That is a not so easy question to answer actually. As you have well recognized one thing is server strain and another thing is the wish to inform as well as possible. In any case for miniatures IMO the only sensible solution is to have a subsection of the Lexicanum in the sense of a catalogue. Why? Because if I look up a fluff article I really don't care so much about the minis - one representaive example of each new period suffices! But even for a nascent catalogue section the image material should be minimized where possible (cropping, resizing, front any maybe back angle, not more etc...) --Inquisitor S., Großmeister des Ordo Lexicanum (talk) 15:45, 17 March 2019 (MDT)

Pegasus AAV

I see you also read the Citadel Journal, I am irritated about an outdated vehicle of questionable canoncity made it here. The Pegasus AAV was made during an experimental time and its traits were applied to the Chimera. But keep up the good work.

Questions

When uploading publicly available official pictures from sources like the warhammer community website, is it better to select the most representative few, or to upload everything that satisfies the guidelines, including variant pics and minis from different angles? Besides, is it better to crop as much as possible, or to leave the image unedited?

Examples:

 • [1] Is the current Van Saar pic sufficient, or is it better to post all other ones, in order to have all the weapons displayed?
 • [2]: Extract the Spartan or post the whole pic with the frame and the brands?

I don't want to do a half-assed job, but I don't want to put an unnecessary burden on the server and the admins checking each upload either. -Orsay (talk) 13:40, 17 March 2019 (MDT)

That is a not so easy question to answer actually.
