Chapel of Fallen Heroes

The Chapel of Fallen Heroes, located on Terra, is where the names of dead Chapters are stored for all time. Those chapters who are completely destroyed have their Battle Standard stored here and are remembered by the Imperium. A black candle is also lit for each chapter.¹

One of these dead chapters are the Fire Hawks. They were lost in the warp and eventually declared destroyed. Members of the Chapter survived, although not unchanged, as the Legion of the Damned.
