The Asgardian Rangers specialise in scouting and camouflage, especially mounted on horses. They were attached to Armageddon during the Third War, spread across the surface of Armageddon Secundus. They have specially biologically enhanced mounts bred to have incredible endurance and tenacity, with a resistance to wound or poison, allowing them to go through the most dense forest or barren desert with little problems. They come from a Feudal World and are seen as a very feral people. They are supposedly better at scouting than Space Marine Scouts as they don't need so much fuel or other resources that are usually scarce in a besieged city. From what little combat they have seen, they are capable warriors and adept at using Sniper Rifles.1

Asgardian 89th Rangers
The 89th Asgardian are known to have fought on Armageddon during the Third War for Armageddon in the Mannheim Gap.2-p64
