Astorax

Astorax is a Chaos Sorcerer of the Iron Warriors capable of scrying the future in bones. He served as a seer to Lords Korus[1] and Bartok, but his abilities were dismissed as superstitious by the Fallen who took over the Warband.[2]

Biography

Astorax served as a seer to Lord Korus when his Warband entered the Calaphrax Cluster to reclaim a lost weapon. He remained aboard their Battle Barge rather than participating in battle, sitting on a throne of bones in an ossuary chamber. Astorax said the bones told of great victory, of the enemy crawling from the earth like insects, and of war.[1]

After Korus died in the Second Battle of Exyrion, Astorax briefly served his successor, Bartok, until he was killed by one of the Fallen brought aboard by Rendix. Astorax offered to read the bones for the Fallen, but his abilities were dismissed as unnecessary. When the Fallen revealed his plan to turn the Dark Angels from the False Emperor to the ways of Luther, Astorax claimed the bones had showed him that this was predestined.[2]
