William King

William King is an author of several books and short stories set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe (published by BL Publishing).

William King was born in Stranraer, Scotland, in 1959. His short stories have appeared many science-fiction magazines; in 1989 he became a writer for Games Workshop, penning fiction for their rulebooks, White Dwarf magazine and anthologies under the credited name Bill King.1 During this time he produced a myriad number of short pieces of fiction for use as background material that would appear in almost every game, book and White Dwarf released. He later became one of the first writers in the Black Library stable.

He has traveled throughout Europe and Asia, but he currently lives in Prague.2
