Blacksun Filter

The Blacksun Filter is a Tau device known to allow them to see at much greater distances during night fighting scenarios. Presumably they somehow replicate the effects of sunlight on objects through sights without actually illuminating the target. They can be attached to both Tau units, and vehicles.
A blacksun filter is a Battlesuit support system and can also be hard-wired. Fire Warrior Team Leaders can field tham as well as battlesuits and Tau Vehicles
