Cordae, wearing the bones of a Roc[3]

Cordae is a Chaplain in the Raven Guard Chapter.[1]

History

He is one of the few of his Battle Brothers to survive the spiritual journey to the soaring Diagothian Mountains of Kiavahr. Cordae is even one of the fewer of the Raven Guard's Chaplains to return to the Ravenspire with a Roc, after undergoing the ritual hunt to kill one of the ferocious birds. They are sacred to the Chapter and dwell on the Diagothian Mountains, where Cordae killed one with his bare hands as is required by the ritual hunt. After completing the ritual, Cordae then applied the bird's bones to his power armor. Like the rest of the Raven Guard's Chaplains, Cordae believes adorning a Roc's bones allows them to carry its spirit with them into combat. They also believe, that doing so will ensure the Chaplains can properly guide their Brothers into battle.[1] This has greatly helped Cordae, as he aided the Company of Shadow Captain Aremis Koryn during their battle against the Empyrion's Blight Warband in the Sargassion Reach.[2]

Trivia

Cordae's miniature was created by the Games Workshop employee Eddie Eccles and was featured in White Dwarf 399 (UK).[3]
