The Cult of the Dragon were a sect within the Adeptus Mechanicus and resided on their homeworld of Mars in the Noctis Labyrinthus.

Its members were noted as being part of an obscure group with little known of them by most outsiders. Their ancestors consisted of techpriests that sought to settle within the region of their home and were those members who decided to remain. They were noted as being madmen that remained in the dark region of Mars where few treaded.¹
