The Daedelos Krata is a relic-ship, classed as a Heavy Assault Carrier[1b]. It serves as the mobile Fortress Monastery of the Minotaurs Chapter[1a] and flagship of their Chapter Master, Asterion Moloc.[2a]

History

The Daedelos Krata is a massive vessel, shadowing all other vessels in Terra's orbit save the Phalanx. Its flanks are of burnished bronze, marked with stripes of black and red. Its prow is painted red, resembling blood stains.[3]

The Daedelos Krata served in the Badab War between 907-912.M41. The ship survived the Amarah Void Battle in 992.M41, in which the Chapter lost at least two battle barges and three strike cruisers to the Necron Tomb Ship Dead Hand. During this battle, the Minotaurs fleets adopted a formation in the shape of a bull's head, with the Daedelos Krata forming the protected skull, three battle barges the jaw, and eight strike cruisers the horns - in order to bring the assault carrier close enough to launch boarding torpedoes and a teleport strike.

During the Age of the Dark Imperium the Daedelos Krata appeared over Terra as part of the Minotaurs operation to support the Hexarchy's coup.[3]

Armament and Transport

The Daedelos Krata is equipped with a bombardment cannon, a teleportarium capable of transporting at least thirty-one Terminators and two Contemptor Pattern Dreadnoughts at once,[2a] and boarding torpedoes. The vessel sports gigantic cannon emplacements.[3] The Hecaton, a cadre of Contemptor Pattern Dreadnoughts, is permanently based on the ship to act as its guardians.[2b] At the centre of the maze-like chambers within is a brazen throne, where Lord Moloc pores over data-feeds and casualty reports surrounded by tabulation servitors.[1b]
