Commander Demetrius was a Chaos Dreadnought of the Violators Renegade Chapter.

History

He had been horribly wounded but his tactician's mind was intact so the Violators had him entombed in a Dreadnought shell.[1b] He had once been terrified of being entombed and being unable to feel the sensations that gave him reason to kill and with to worship Slaanesh. But over time his nervous system grew into the fabric of the Dreadnought and made him more sensitive than he had ever been as a full Space Marine.[1d] His driving desire was to absorb every sensation and everything that war had to offer.[1c]

He carried an Assault Cannon on his left arm and barbed energy-lashes on his right. Over one side of his chest was the Violators chapter symbol wrought in gold of a lightening bolt crossed by a dagger. On the other side was dense script chronicling the hundreds of battles he had fought in along with the kill-marks of the important enemies he had slain. On his sarcophagus in the centre of his chest was a fleshy knot like an unopened flower that was pale and dead but pulsing with the machine's heart.[1a] There were also Smoke Launchers on the upper surface of his carapace.[1d]

During the final defence of Charybdia Keep on Torvendis, he lead one hundred Violator Marines against the Khorne Daemon Prince Ss'll Sh'Karr but was eventually overpowered and eaten alive by the daemon.[1e]
