Dire Avenger
Dire Avengers are one of the forms of Aspect Warrior, Eldar warriors who fight according to one of the aspects of Kaela Mensha Khaine, the Eldar God of War. The Dire Avengers follow Khaine in his aspect as a noble and merciless warrior. They are the most tactically flexible and accordingly the most numerous of all the Aspect Warriors. The Shrine of the Dire Avengers was the first of the Aspects Shrines founded. Due to this the Dire Avengers are also the most common of aspects with multiple shrines in all of the major Craftworlds.4
Dire Avengers are equipped with Avenger shuriken catapults and Aspect Armour.3

Exarch
An Exarch is the leader of an Aspect Shrine. He is one that has traveled so far down the Path of the Warrior, that he can no longer turn from that path to follow another path. This gives them great skill and dedication.
Exarch Wargear
In addition to the wargear of the aspect, the Exarch can be armed with a number of special weapons:
- Avenger shuriken catapult.3
- Twin Shuriken Catapults.3
- Diresword.3
- Power Weapon.3
- Shuriken Pistol.3
- Shimmershield.3
- Exarch Armour.1,3
Exarch Powers
The Exarch may study the secrets of the shrine to allow himself and any of his Aspect warriors to go beyond the normal Aspect training.
- Bladestorm.3 Under the guidance of the Exarch the Dire Avenger squad can fire more rapidly without loss of accuracy. However, this tactic usually depletes the squad's ammunition magazines and will require reloading.
- Defend.1,3 The Exarch leads the squad through a series of defensive moves that denies attacks of opportunity to the opponent.
Phoenix Lord
The Phoenix Lord of the Dire Avengers is Asurmen, the Hand of Asur. He was the first of the Phoenix Lords and the greatest, who instructed all the other founding Phoenix Lords in the skills of combat. Asurmen is the reason that Shrine of the Dire Avengers is the most common warrior aspects. He was extremely well travelled founding multiple shrines in a large number of Craftworlds. He has also founded more shrines than any other Phoenix Lord.3
