Draznicht[2]

Dzargon Draznicht is a member of the Crimson Slaughter. Once the wisest mind in the Crimson Sabres before their corruption, he was renowned for his preternatural perception, which caused him to develop a Mutation when his Chapter fell to Chaos. His mind was opened to the Warp and a baleful third eye opened upon his forehead, ever seeking new ways to unleash murder. Now Draznicht follows Kranon as his right-hand man and Chosen warrior.[1]

Biography

By 928.M41[4a], Dzargon Draznicht was the First Captain of the Crimson Sabres, and was regarded as the most taciturn and reserved member of the Crimson Sabres Sword Council. When the request for help came from Umidia, Draznicht voted in favor of responding. As the fighting dragged on, the Crimson Sabres began to succumb to Chaotic influence. One of Draznicht's own Marines, Sergeant Kestalev Chyre, attacked one of Captain Anzo Reigler's Scouts for attempting to leave the flight deck before First Company, he ordered the boy to apologize to Chyre, over Captain Reigler's objections. When Reigler went to confront Draznitch, the First Captain was having an argument with the Balethu, the cultists that had been slain.[3b] After Captain Reigler and his squad assisted Chief Librarian Xastus Bannon in banishing the Lord of Change responsible for corrupting the Balethu, Draznitch apologized to Reigler, but also took the time to warn him to be too loyal to old alliances, referring to Captain Sevarion Kranon.[3c] When Chapter Master Sevastus Kranon called a vote to censure his brother Sevarion for cowardice, Draznitch voted in favour of censure, and it was First Sergeant Kohl and Sergeant Chyre, Draznitch's men, who escorted Sevarion Kranon to the cells.[3d]

When the Crimson Sabres ventured into the Eye of Terror, Draznitch continued to lead the First Company, but began to suffer mutations. Draznitch was one of the most extreme, not only unlocking his latent Divination abilities, but also granting him a third eye in his forehead.[4b] When Chapter Master Kranon expressed the desire to end the curse and make out a life, Draznitch was one of those who agreed. As the Crimson Sabres became the Crimson Slaughter, the First Company changed into the Ravagers, now including the Chosen and Terminators of the Crimson Slaughter, with Draznitch no longer Captain of the First Company, but as Champion of the Ravagers.[4c]
