Enoch Rathvin
From Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum
Enoch Rathvin was the first Legion Master of the VIth Legion, later known as the Space Wolves.[1]
Born on Terra, he commanded the Legion in its first major campaign on Delsvaan. It was under Rathvin that the Legion developed its vicious, fearful, but loyal reputation. When Leman Russ was rediscovered, he began to regard Rathvin as unstable.[1]
Rathvin met his end during the Wheel of Fire Campaign on the world of Xyat. He was crushed by an Ork vehicle claw while leading a suicidal charge.[1]
Trivia
Enoch's name is likely a reference to Commander Enoch, a Space Wolves character who appears in the "Wheel of Fire" campaign in 1988's Book of the Astronomican. He is amongst the earliest named Space Wolves characters.[2]
