Erekan Juric
Erekan Juric was a Captain in the Sons of Horus Legion during the Horus Heresy. He later escaped into the Eye of Terror after the Warmaster's forces were defeated by the Imperium.[1]
Within that Daemonic realm, he became a Chaos Lord and created the Vaithan Reaver Squad Warband, which built a stronghold upon one of the Eye's blighted worlds. The Warband's end came soon after, however, when the Sons of Horus began to be attacked by the other Traitor Legions, who blamed them for the Heresy's failure. The Vaithan Reaver Squad were shattered in such an attack, when the Thousand Sons Sorcerer Kahotep led his Legion's forces to breech the defenses of the Warband's stronghold. Juric knew the day was lost after this happened and, as the Thousand Sons swarmed into his fortress, he ordered the reavers to escape within the Warband's Thunderhawks. He did not heed his own order though, as his need for revenge was too great, and after Juric escorted his maimed comrade Zhoron to the safety of a Thunderhawk, he went to confront Kahotep. By that time, only half of Juric's surviving Warband had escaped, with the others being too bogged down by the Thousand Sons' attacks. Juric could do nothing more for them though, except claim vengeance and asked for the assistance of any nearby Reavers, as he neared Kahotep's position. Three Reavers soon appeared and attacked Kahotep's escorting Rubric Marines, which allowed Juric to reach the Sorcerer. However, Kahotep easily killed the Chaos Lord by using his Psychic powers to burn Juric alive.[1]
