Galavan is an Imperial Jungle World covered in dense tropical growth. Its primary exports are timber and pharmaceuticals.[1]
Rainstorms on the planet are frequent, sudden, and heavy enough to stun an unprotected person. These storms have become proverbial on other worlds in the subsector, whose inhabitants often joke that Galavan's native inhabitants are not human at all, but rather mutants with gills. The Ordo Malleus of the Inquisition (which is not known for its sense of humour) has investigated these rumours and found them to be without basis in fact[1].
