Space Wolf is a series of novels about the Space Wolves and the career of Ragnar Blackmane. It begins with his life as a unsuspecting barbarian on the planet Fenris.

Recruited by the Space Wolves he little suspects that he will travel though the galaxy. Meeting persons from other planets and cultures he will walk upon countless battlefields and even Terra - center of immense power and deadly political intrigue. He will face Ork Warlords, Genestealer hordes, Chaos champions, Daemons of Chaos, and other horrors that threaten the Imperium of Man.

The series was created by William King, who wrote the first 4 volumes. Lee Lightner continued with Sons of Fenris and Wolf's Honour. A omnibus edition was also published collecting the first 3 volumes, ISBN 1-84416-457-8. A furthur omnibus containing the next three books in the series is released October 2009.

This series seems to be quite popular and was re-published right after the third volume with new covers. The covers shown in this article are in fact of the 2nd edition and the artstyle was continued with the next two volumes.

It also tells of the initiation test of the Space Wolves, drinking from the Cup of Wulfen and entering the The Fang.

Ragnar Blackmane later goes on to become a Wolf Lord and fights in many victorious battles including a fight beside the 13th Company which is the company that Leman Russ (the Space Wolves primarch) pursued the Thousand Sons with more information under Leman Russ
