Imperial Emplacements include anything fixed that can be used in a defensive manner, including sentry turrets, guns and platforms. These are commonly used by both the Imperial Guard and Space Marines who have different weapons to each other. They are designed and made by Forgeworld.

Sabre Defence Platforms

A Sabre Defence Platform is a 360 degree rotatable turret manned by 1 Guardsman. They can be armed in a number of ways, including:

• 2 twin-linked Heavy Stubbers

• 1 twin-linked Heavy Bolter
• 1 Searchlight

Defence Emplacements

Defence Emplacements is a generic term for fortified positions containing defensive equipment. They can include:

• Hydra Emplacement - Hydra Flak Cannon
• Earthshaker Emplacement - Earthshaker Cannon

Defence Platforms

Defence Platforms is a generic term for any defensive weapon raised off of the ground on a platform. They can include:

• Phaeton Pattern Defence Platform - 2 long barrelled Autocannons
• Earthshaker Cannon Platform - Earthshaker Cannon
• Hydra Flak Platform - Hydra Flak Cannon
• Manticore Missile Platform - Manticore Missile

Tarantula Sentry Gun

Tarantula Sentry Guns is a generic name for the unmanned defensive weaponry deployed by the Imperial Guard. They come in a number of different weapon mounts, including:

• Twin-linked Heavy Bolters
• Twin-linked Lascannons

Turret Emplacements

Turret Emplacements is a generic name for any turret built into the ground for use by the Imperial Guard and containing three guardsmen as gunners. They can be armed in many ways, including:

• Heavy Bolter
• Heavy Flamer
• Battle Cannon
• Conqueror Cannon
• Vanquisher Cannon

Space Marine Emplacements

Air Defence Command Platform

The Air Defence Command Platform is the controller that marks enemy aircraft a number of Hyperios Air Defence Platform. It is made up of sophisticated scanners and control systems to make them unmanned.

Hyperios Air Defence Platform

The Hyperious Air Defence Platform, when coupled with an Air Defence Command Platform, can supply effective anti-air support and can be joined by others to make a web through which no aircraft can fly unmolested.

Space Marine Tarantula

The Space Marine Tarantula is similar to the Imperial Guard version above. It can be armed with one of the following:
