Made up of conscripts from the mostly rural farming communities of verdant planet of Jumael IV.
Recruitment & Training
Basic training follows the standard (if a little rushed) model of the Imperial Guard: drill, route marching and learning the Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer by heart.
Battle Style
Appearance & Uniform
In battle, troopers wear a heavy vest of balistic cloth with extra pectoral protection and flexible shoulder reinforcements.
Notable Regiments
- Jumael 1st 'Lucky Aces' is an Imperial Guard regiment from the agri world Jumael IV and earned their nickname during the Tywia campaign. They were the only regiment of three to survive a warp storm en-route. The regiment took the fortress of Ironhide when a freak earthquake breached its walls and during the battle, a lost patrol found the fabled Chambers of Gold beneath the fortress.1-p14
- 14th Jumael Volunteers:
- History: Unknown - After the founding the regiment was shipped to Seltura VII to aid in putting down a rebellion by the PDF. Due to a clerical error, 6th company, commanded by Lieutenant Vinters was diverted and participated in the defence of Boucheroc instead. Unfortunately the company was annihilated in the drop when their lander was hit by an Ork SAM.2
