Maltius Othram
Maltius Othram is a General of the Imperial Guard.[1]
Biography
Of humble origins, Maltius was once a serf from Sepheris Secundus in the Calixis Sector. However he was conscripted by the Feudal World to serve in the Margin Crusade, where his battle prowess and shrewd tactical skills allowed him to gain the favor of a number of influential commanders and nobles, eventually gaining him a position in the Achilus Crusade under Lord Commander Ebongrave. Many, however, are resentful and disdainful of his menial origins, and some suspect his appointment under Ebongrave may have been a calculated move by his rivals. But contrary to his rivals' expectations, Othram has come to idolize Ebongrave and believes the Imperial war effort in the Canis Salient would be doomed without him.[1]
Othram has always placed a great value on the lives of the men under his command, giving him respect from the rank-and-file Guardsman of the Crusade, but earning him the nickname "Soft Othram" among his peers.[1]
